LIVE TISBE COPEPODS

Tisbe copepods are the smallest of the copepods we offer. They are small hardy crustaceans belonging to the Harpacticoida genus like Tigriopus. They are specially cultivated onsight and catered to feeding smaller animals such as gobies, mandarin, seahorses and filter feeders.

PICKY EATERS

Tisbe copepods are perfect for picky eaters such as mandarins, seahorses, gobies, filter feeders, and any other juvenile fish due to their size <~1.0mm. They are often used in hatcheries and large scale fisheries as food for juvenile fish due to their high nutritional profile. Different stages of life require different sized foods to ensure proper nutrition which is why we recommend these, and Apocyclops copepods for picky eaters. 

EASY TO USE WITH CONVENIENT STORAGE

The product comes in a resealable bottle that can be stored in your refrigerator for extended shelf life. Oxygenate the bottle daily and add food( we use Rhodomonas) when the bottle runs clear until all copepods are added to the tank.

Our ready-to-use liquid formula allows for easy pouring directly into your aquarium. Acclimate the bottle to your tank's water conditions. Release the copepods into your tank or refugium. It's best to do this at night when fish are less active. Initially, you may need to provide additional food for the copepods, like live phytoplankton.

The Tisbe copepods are sustainably bred in our Edmonton Based Coral Farm. We breed them by feeding them our "Rhodomonas - Live phytoplankton".

Further, these hardy organisms have a high survival rate in marine aquariums, ensuring a long-lasting and cost-effective food source.
