Planktura Reef Pulse Copepods – Tisbe

Planktura’s Reef Pulse Copepods bring live Tisbe directly to your aquarium, providing a natural, nutrient-rich food source for fish and invertebrates. These single-strain cultures are used to seed copepod populations in your tank, enhancing your reef ecosystem by stimulating natural feeding behaviors, boosting biodiversity, and supporting a balanced, self-sustaining environment.

Species Profile: Tisbe Copepods

  • Size range: approximately 50 to 250 micrometers, ideal for small or selective feeders.
  • Excellent for mandarin gobies, seahorses, fish larvae, filter feeders, and other delicate marine animals.
  • Live near the substrate and aquarium surfaces, feeding on waste and microalgae to help maintain tank cleanliness.
  • Reproduce continuously, offering a steady supply of nutrient-rich live food.

Instructions

  1. Acclimate the bottle to your tank’s temperature and salinity.
  2. Gently release the copepods into your tank or refugium.
  3. Add them at night when fish are less active.
  4. Provide additional food such as live phytoplankton to support culture growth.
