Hydroshock 3-Part Complete System

CALCIUM | ALKALINITY | MAGNESIUM

The Hydroshock 3-Part Complete System is a precision-balanced dosing trio designed to provide reef aquariums with stable water chemistry, consistent growth, and vibrant coloration. Formulated to work together in a 1:1:1 ratio, Hydroshock maintains the proper balance of major and minor ions while preventing long-term imbalances.

  • Hydroshock Calcium (Part 1) | Calcium • Strontium • Trace Elements
Supplies concentrated calcium enriched with strontium, potassium, and trace metals (iron, manganese, zinc, vanadium). Promotes strong skeletal growth while supporting natural coloration and trace element balance.
  • Hydroshock Alkalinity (Part 2) | Carbonates • Boron • pH Stability
Provides 8,400 dKH total alkalinity, replenishing carbonate consumed by coral growth. Boron buffering stabilizes pH and reduces daily swings, protecting corals from stress and enhancing growth.
  • Hydroshock Magnesium (Part 3) | Magnesium • Potassium • Iodine
Maintains ionic balance by replenishing magnesium at the correct ratio to calcium and alkalinity. Includes potassium and iodide for invertebrate molting and soft-tissue health, plus balanced sulfates to preserve the natural Na:Cl:S ratio.

Together, these three parts form a complete reef foundation system, giving your aquarium the stability corals demand to thrive.

Instructions

  • Begin dosing at 1 mL per 100 L daily of each part (Ca, Alk, Mg) in equal amounts.
  • Test regularly for alkalinity (dKH), calcium (Ca), and magnesium (Mg).
  • Adjust all three parts slowly and equally to maintain stability.
  • If a parameter drifts significantly, temporarily adjust that part alone before resuming equal dosing.
  • Dose into high-flow areas. For larger alkalinity corrections (>0.5 dKH/day), split into smaller doses or drip overnight to prevent pH spikes.

1 mL of each Per 1 US gallon:

  • Calcium (Ca): +15.85 ppm
  • Alkalinity (Alk): +2.22 dKH
  • Magnesium (Mg): +3.20 ppm
  • Chlorine (Cl): +36.42 ppm
  • Sulfur (S): +1.46 ppm
  • Potassium (K): +0.777 ppm
  • Strontium (Sr): +0.313 ppm
  • Boron (B): +0.231 ppm
  • Fluorine (F): +0.036 ppm
  • Iodine (I): +0.030 ppm
  • Zinc (Zn): +0.00203 ppm
  • Molybdenum (M): +0.00200 ppm
  • Iron (Fe): +0.00172 ppm
  • Manganese (Mn): +0.00172 ppm
  • Vanadium (V): +0.000147 ppm
  • Cobalt (Co): +0.00010 ppm
