Pomacanthus zonipectus
The Cortez angelfish is a unique gem from the Eastern Pacific, but these juveniles are captive-bred and better suited to aquarium life than wild-caught. As juveniles, they are adorned with extremely bright yellow and blue striations running along the body. As they age the juvenile coloration transitions into green-blue with a yellow stripe that runs over the gill plate. This fish is not reef safe and tends to pick on various corals and clams in aquariums.
