Helmet Picasso Percula Clownfish
Amphiprion perculathe
The Helmet Picasso has an orange base with black lowlights and exaggerated white bars that cover most of the fish, often including a pattern on the head that can resemble a helmet. The coloration is variable, and each one is as unique as a fingerprint.
Clownfish are among the most popular saltwater aquarium fish in the world, and not just because of Nemo. Their bright coloration makes them attractive to beginners, and their variable patterns and cultivability makes them interesting to advanced aquarists. Captive bred clownfish are among the hardiest and easiest to keep of all saltwater pet fish. They are fully reef safe and will not harm any coral, clam, or ornamental invert. They are peaceful as juveniles, but adult females tend to be territorial. Luckily, they don't require much room, so they work well in nano size aquariums. Thanks to their outgoing nature, they're just as comfortable and entertaining in a large tank.
