F/2 Trace provides a balanced blend of essential trace elements vital for optimal phytoplankton health and growth. Formulated according to Guillard’s renowned F/2 standard, this trace-metal solution delivers key minerals necessary for metabolic functions, photosynthesis, enzyme activity, and overall culture performance.
Enhanced Photosynthesis: Iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) support chlorophyll synthesis and photosystem II activity.
Improved Metabolism: Zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) aid enzymes essential for CO₂ assimilation and energy transfer.
Efficient Nitrogen Uptake: Cobalt (Co) and molybdenum (Mo) enhance vitamin B₁₂ production and nitrate utilization.
Shake well before use.
Standard Dose: Add 1 mL per gallon (3.8 liters) of fresh or saltwater.
Metric Dose: Use 0.25 mL per liter.
Always dose F/2 Trace in a 1 : 1 ratio with F/2 Macro.
For best results: Measure the required volume of F/2 Trace based on your culture volume. Measure and add the required volume of F/2 Trace directly to your culture vessel containing both the phytoplankton inoculant and the additional fresh or saltwater for culture expansion.
Add an equal volume of F/2 Macro.
Provide consistent lighting and gentle aeration to maximize culture health and growth rates.
Purified water, Ferric chloride, EDTA, cobalt chloride, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, manganese chloride, sodium molybdate.
