Silicate¹⁴+ supplies a reef-safe, bio-available silicate source for marine aquaria. Controlled additions of silicate encourage diatom blooms, which rapidly outcompete nuisance dinoflagellates. Diatoms may leave a temporary brown film on rock and sand; this is expected and will clear naturally once silicates are depleted. Silicate is also a vital nutrient for sponges and other siliceous filter feeders, making Silicate¹⁴+ a valuable supplement for biodiversity.

DIRECTIONS

Use only from a current silicate result and a livestock-specific target. 1 mL per 25 L (≈6.6 US gal) raises SiO₂ by approximately 1.10 ppm. Do not raise SiO₂ by more than 1 ppm in 24 hours or above 3 ppm in total. Measure in 0.1 mL increments and retest after 24 hours.

WARNINGS

Strongly alkaline liquid. Avoid eye and skin contact. Never combine directly with acids or other concentrates. Excess silicate can sustain diatom growth.

Ne pas augmenter le SiO₂ de plus de 1 ppm en 24 heures ni au-delà de 3 ppm au total. Mesurer par incréments de 0,1 mL et refaire le test après 24 heures.

Nasty Algae issue

This product works to get rid of the bad algae haunting my tank would recommend to people with the Dino/syno (excuse my ignorance) issue I was plagued with
