Planktura Reef Pulse Copepods – Tigriopus

Planktura’s Reef Pulse Copepods bring live Tigriopus directly to your aquarium, providing a natural, nutrient-rich food source for fish and invertebrates. These single-strain cultures are used to seed copepod populations in your tank, enhancing your reef ecosystem by stimulating natural feeding behaviors, boosting biodiversity, and supporting a balanced, self-sustaining environment.

Species Profile: Tigriopus Copepods

  • Size range: approximately 250 to 1700 micrometers; adults are easily visible to the naked eye.
  • Thrive on aquarium surfaces and rocks, grazing on diatoms and slimes such as dinoflagellates and cyanobacteria.
  • High in lipids and PUFAs, supporting vibrant coloration and overall health in fish and invertebrates.
  • Valuable as a supplemental live food and biodiversity booster in marine systems.
