Tetraselmis
Best for: Copepod farming and maintaining a healthy food web in the tank.
Size (10-14μm): medium sized cells that settle in the bottle quickly.
Tetraselmis: Known for its high lipid content, Tetraselmis is excellent for farming copepods. If you need to ensure your copepods thrive or you’re looking to seed your tank, this strain is a must-have.
Rhodomonas
Best for: Brightening coral colours and enhancing red pigments.
Size (7-20μm): medium sized cells that settle in the bottle quickly.
Rhodomonas: This vibrant phytoplankton is packed with protein, particularly Phycoerythrin, which helps enhance the natural red pigments in your corals. It’s a perfect option for brightening your corals and giving them that extra glow!
Isochrysis
Best for: Coral food, reducing nitrates and phosphates, and copepod nutrition.
Size (4-6μm): small sized cells that settle in the bottle slowly.
