Blood Red Fire Shrimp

Blood Red Fire Shrimp (Lysmata debelius) is a classic reef invertebrate known for its deep red body, bright white spotting, and long white antennae. Also sold as Fire Shrimp, Blood Shrimp, or Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp, this species brings strong contrast to reef rockwork and a very different look from the more commonly kept skunk cleaner shrimp.

Once established, a Blood Red Fire Shrimp often claims a shaded cave or overhang and may use that area as a cleaning station for nearby fish. It is usually more visible at feeding time, after lights dim, or when it feels secure in a mature aquarium with plenty of structure.
