Captive-bred Snowflake Ocellaris Clownfish are a designer form of Amphiprion ocellaris known for their irregular white barring, bright orange base colour, and one-of-a-kind patterning. They keep the same approachable temperament that makes Ocellaris clownfish so popular, but with extra visual character from the jagged, expanded white markings.
Because these Snowflakes are captive-bred, they are generally better adjusted to aquarium life than wild clownfish. They are a strong choice for reef keepers who want a peaceful, reef-safe fish that usually adapts well to prepared foods and settles in confidently in a stable home aquarium.

Pattern And Appearance
Snowflake Ocellaris are valued for their exaggerated white barring. Unlike standard Ocellaris stripes, Snowflake markings tend to be more broken, jagged, and uneven from fish to fish. Some individuals show modest extra white, while others develop much heavier patterning, which is part of the appeal of this variety.
Anemone Hosting
Like other Ocellaris clownfish, Snowflakes may host an anemone, but they do not need one to thrive in captivity. Many will live perfectly well without a host, while others may choose an anemone, coral, or a favourite area of rockwork. Acclimation
Acclimation
Temperature Match
Place the sealed bag containing the fish or invertebrate into your tank. Allow it to float for 15-20 minutes to gradually equalize the temperature between the bag and your aquarium. This step minimizes stress caused by sudden temperature changes.
Drip Acclimation
Set up a drip acclimation system by using airline tubing. Start a slow siphon from your tank into the bag or bucket containing the fish or invertebrate, allowing water to drip slowly. Acclimate over a period of approximately 30 minutes, gradually increasing the volume of tank water to match salinity and other water parameters.
Check Salinity
Use a refractometer to measure the salinity in the bag or acclimation container. Ensure the salinity matches your tank’s salinity before transferring the fish or invertebrate. Matching salinity helps reduce stress and prevents shock when introducing new animals.
Release Fish/Invert
Gently transfer the fish or invertebrate into the tank, avoiding netting them if possible to reduce physical stress. Allow the animal to swim out on its own if transferring from a container. Discard the acclimation water, as it may contain contaminants.
